Huxton Wood is a newly refurbished beautiful detached bungalow sat in an acre of gardens with 8 acres of woods behind the house and wonderful extensive countryside views to the front.

Views reach as far as Salcombe and East Portlemouth and are quite breathtaking. Being situated half way between Thurlestone and Kingsbridge just off the A379/381 it makes the perfect base for exploring the whole of the fantastic South Hams and all its attractions. Salcombe is only 10 minutes away and there are several local beaches less than 3 miles from our home. Bantham beach with its amazing white sand and famous surf is only 4 miles . Dartmouth, Dartmoor, Plymouth , Totnes are all within a 40 minute drive.

The South West coastal path can be joined after a 2 mile walk through lovely lanes and the coastal path offers some of the most stunning coastal views in the country.

There are two bed and breakfast rooms which are very large rooms with a modern ensuite. The rooms have flexible accommodation and can be booked as a double/twin/triple or family room.

Refreshment trays and hairdryers are standard. Each room has its own private entrance via Patio doors and a small patio area with table and chairs for your leisure time. Guests will be asked to use the patio doors as their main entrance to the property thus giving the guests total flexibility of coming and going during the day and evening. The property has a large driveway with plenty of parking for all.

We welcome families and have an assortment of toys books and puzzles are available as well. Babysitting can be arranged at an additional charge and is only for evenings once the children are settled in bed.

The Breakfast Room
The Breakfast Room has magnificent views and on a warm sunny morning the option of breakfast on the decking will be given.

Breakfast is a five star occasion using local fresh produce, fresh fruits and ground coffee. Dietary requests can be accommodated with advanced notification.

Generally we use just one large table for all our guests to sit around and enjoy breakfast together however should you wish to have a separate table please just ask.

Dogs are most welcome and towels for muddy paws will be provided. We ask that you bring their own bed and food.

The grounds of the house offer perfect "comfort stops" for those early morning and late night walks - however we do expect you to "clean up" after your four legged friend.

Prices vary between £28 to £45 per person per night depending on length of stay, time of year and the size of your party.

We offer special rates for stays 4 nights or more, large bookings or regular customers. Please ring and ask, we are very friendly and are happy to help.

We accept payment by cash or cheque.
